Free Terms of Service Generator

Plain-English Terms of Service covering acceptable use, IP, payment terms, and liability. Built for SaaS, Shopify, and mobile apps. Free, no sign-up.

How it works

1

Describe your service

Enter your business name, type, jurisdiction, and whether you have paid subscriptions.

2

Generate full document

AI returns 2,200–2,800 words covering all 17 standard sections in correct legal order.

3

Lawyer review before launch

Output is a strong starting point, not legal advice. A 30-minute lawyer review catches jurisdiction-specific language.

Why Terms of Service matters more than founders think

ToS is the document that limits your liability, defines what users can sue you for, and gives you the right to terminate abusive accounts. Most launches treat it as a checkbox formality — copy a template, paste it in the footer, never look at it again. That works until the first time something goes wrong, at which point a generic ToS leaves the business exposed in ways founders rarely think about until it's too late.

The 4 sections that actually save you

Limitation of Liability

Caps the maximum a user can claim against you (typically the amount they paid in the last 12 months). Without it, a user could theoretically sue for any consequential damage.

Indemnification

Requires users to defend you if their use of your service causes harm to a third party. Critical for any platform with user-generated content.

Acceptable Use Policy

Gives you legal grounds to terminate accounts engaging in abuse, scraping, or violations. Without explicit AUP language, terminations can be challenged.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Forces disputes into a jurisdiction and forum favourable to you (usually your home state with mandatory arbitration). Without it, users can sue you anywhere they live.

The generator above includes all four. Pair it with our Privacy Policy generator (legally required if you collect data) and Refund Policy generator (required for paid checkout) to cover the three legal pages every modern site needs at launch.
